The Gender Dividend — UN Women (United Nations)

The Gender Dividend
A Business Case for Gender Equality

Below are selected pages from a 20 page booklet for UN Women, the United Nations entity for gender equality and the empowerment of women. Produced on the heels of UN Women's inaugural annual report, this was the second major publication from what was then a relatively new UN agency.

The publication's intention within the larger communications strategy is well stated in the title: it is a business case for gender equality. The publication was to support UN Women's resource mobilization endeavors. I provided art direction, working closely with the designer to develop a product that would reinforce this young agency's brand identity. I also directed photo research to ensure that ethno-geographic diversity and themes of economic empowerment, political participation, and peace keeping were represented.

Distributed at the executive board meeting, conferences, and meetings with dignitaries from member states, demand from senior management for this business case required a second printing.
