University of Canterbury is ranked in the top one percent of universities worldwide. It also boasts the great Sir Ernest Rutherford (the first to split the atom) as a graduate!
Looking to the future, the university was after a fresh, youthful identity to promote its science degrees to the next generation of ground-breaking scientists. The brief included brand development, a new tagline and marketing collateral including posters, banners, brochures and branded clothing.
The brand development was backed by extensive market research that showed today's young people are seeking a higher purpose – it's not just about the money (although that is important too) they want to use their knowledge and talents to make a positive difference in the world.
