This leporello shows human burial rites across cultures and ages.
Starting with prehistoric times, encompassing ancient iranian zoroastrianism, chinese, viking and papua new-guinean traditions.
It is still in progress, looking forward to include middle ages, the european baroque era, modern subcultures and other ways of saying goodbye.
After experimenting with big and small objects, I chose to visualize different sections by switching perspective frequently. Therefore every detail can be inspected.
My favourite part was illustrating simple natural patterns, such as rocks, grass, water and soil.
