As a team leader of the Ithaca College Social Media Team, I helped to create, plan, and run a project that we called Life at IC. On a sunny fall day, we left disposable cameras around campus with anonymous notes telling students that they were allowed to be used for anything. At the end of the day, we ended up with a bunch of photos that told to story of an unfiltered day at Ithaca College, which we featured on a Tumblr page and in a video describing the project.

I was able to help with the creative aspects of the project by helping to come up with the idea and brainstorming the legistics of how to make it work. I also led the group of students in charge of dropping off, checking on, and picking up the cameras. It was then my job to create the Tumblr and organize the photos on the page.

Life at IC recently won a Bronze Award in the 2013 Cuppie Awards in the Electronic Media - Social Media category. The Cuppie Awards recognize creative excellence in marketing and communication in higher education and are sponcered by The Accociation of Communicators in Education.
