Artwork for Visual Data, the column on "La Lettura", the cultural supplement of "Corriere Della Sera".
The visualization shows 82 literary characters defined as "villains" by the researchers of W. W. Norton & Company publishing house and grouped into a revised version of Dante's Inferno. The research, published in 2016, was conducted by Erin Janosik and Meghan McEvoy.
For each character is indicated: the circle of Hell assigned, the category of literary work, the gender, the literary age (the years since the publication of the work to 2017), the geographical setting of the work.
