Our client Memadesigns required a modular, practical exhibition tent which speaks to their brand to use at exhibitions to showcase their lighting designs. My design idea is a modular intimate escape; which creates a “getaway” within a larger, busy exhibition space. The tent captures the essence of the brand through its elegant use of geometric, translucent fabric tiles, mimicking Memadesigns iconic pleat aesthetic in its overall form. The Fabric allows a significant amount of light to pass through, resulting in a romantic and enticing, glowing structure with interesting reflections of Memadesigns light pieces. This has the potential of capturing the attention of passers-by. The angled openings serve as exit and entry points and are designed to give passers-by a glimpse of what lies inside.
