Kiril Climson & Clemens Reischl animate a short film for Disney’s Gravity Falls.

The film began with Clemens Reischl producing a golden frame - a reference Kiril Climson used during the pre-visualization of the short film. With Cinema 4D's hardware render feature, it was very time-effective to experiment with various shots before dedicating time to additional asset creation.

The project began by studying the concept art for Gravity Falls to get a clear idea of the scene's foundation. We took a deep look into the shape and dynamics of the building before starting to work in Cinema 4D. The base model was completed by using two cubes with a triangle shaped top-end for the roof to get the dimensions of the Shack correct. This rough structure allowed us to slowly layer new designs onto the shack. We always referenced source material to understand the scene but kept an open mind when modelling, lighting, and texturing the environment.
