For this piece, the client requested an illustration of two Magpies as it is believed at a solitary magpie is "bad luck". With knowledge of the subject matter and access to the habitat oh this particular bird, I was provided a unique opportunity to witness and base the illustration from interactions I had with magpies near the location of the client.
