In December I was commissioned to do a couple of illustrations of birds. The work provided me with an opportunity to use a number of approaches that I had been working on to incorporate both watercolor and ink work in a more unified manner. The techniques allowed me to create more detailed and realistic work while maintaining the defining elements of my style.
