PRODUCT OBJECTIVE
Crime rates are rising and cities are getting congested day by day, we never know when your home can be a target of burglary. It’s always better to stay protected and stress free. Choosing a security system for your home is an important decision that shouldn’t be made lightly.
People don't have a proper solution to control their house remotely.
< >People wants to monitor their valuables when they are away from home.If other family member forgot to carry the keys when home is locked that would be trouble for them, and they need to wait for the keys.People are getting difficulty in preventing crime.The current tools are insufficient.A simple mobile application is needed to control the home security.
The Internet of Things has made it easier than ever to set up a smart home in which you can remotely control your door locks using your Smartphone and an app. Our objective is to build DIGILock to control Home security digitally and can control the entire lock system remotely.

CONTEXTUAL INQUIRY
After receiving a good amount insights via survey, I need to observe how they perform some of the tasks specifically how they secure their house when they are away from home. This can help us to understand their mental models, how technically good they are when it comes to technology, and to understand their behaviors & motivations.
OBSERVATIONAL RESEARCH INSIGHTS
I came up with some qualitative insights just after the contextual inquiry session and after talking to 6 Individual House owners in 4 days. The following points can help us understand House owner’s major pain points and primary goals.
People getting difficulty in finding the right security system for their homes.
Most of the people are not aware of electronic security system.
Most of the people are using manual door locks.
Few times the people forget to lock the doors.
People are not able monitor their home security at any point of time.
Sometimes the other family members forget to carry the keys.
People are interested to use digital lock system.
PERSONA MODEL
The reasons why we need to develop our persona model that can help us to match every user scenario we try to solve in line with our user requirement.
I've developed only a primary persona based on the insights I gathered during the discovery stage; primary age group, motivation, frustrations, computer literacy level, social media, and based on their primary tasks.
USER SCENARIO
Satish is a software engineer and married. Both wife and husband are working in different companies. He is jovial person and has many friends. Their office timings are 9:30am to 6:00pm. As both are working, most of the times their house is locked. Sometimes they reach home with little offset. One day his wife forgot to carry their home keys and she spent almost 2 hours in front of their house until Satish returned from the office. Many times it happened with his relatives also. Once his brother came to meet them, but found the door locked. He wanted to surprise them, and didn't inform them about his visit. He was helpless and left the place.

Keys can be for one time use, restricted to particular time every day, restricted to particular days of the week or unrestricted.

Key management: Manage keys issued by you and guest keys received by you along restriction details and lock details.
Revoke or change access restriction of issued keys anytime from anywhere.
