Hallstatt CIty Rebrand

BACKGROUND RESEARCH
Hallstatt is a small village nestled deep in the Salzkammergut region of Austria surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes. Salt was a valuable and prosperous resource for the region and was mined in the mountains near Hallstatt. When excavating these mines, a large prehistoric cemetery was uncovered, and the salt had preserved many artifacts dating back to 1200 B.C. This period in history is named the Hallstatt Period.
DISCOVER HALLSTATT.
I believe that every city, no matter how small, has a story to tell and a history to preserve. Hallstatt has a very unique story, and I wanted this city rebrand to incorporate as much history as I could when creating the design for the city’s identity. My inspiration came from the beautiful landscapes and architecture from the area as well as the ancient artifacts from the Hallstatt Period.
