I love this piece! It was a combination of a few different reference photos taken on vacation the previous summer. The boat was sitting by a ditch abandoned and had barnacles all over it. I imagined the boat as a ship that had crashed onto shore and the captain left it there to rot. The scenery in the background is entirely made up.
