BAE Systems interactive multitouch table

A digital interactive experience focusing on cyber security for BAE Cyber Defence Division. It aimed to attract potential clients to their stand while giving them key information on BAE security systems offerings. The installation was about brand awareness, education and generating enquiries about their products but it also had an engaging and playful character. It was a gamified experience using a multi-touch table and a transparent screen, asking visitors to make a number of decisions related to cyber security.  The user could place 9 clear polyester disks on the table and move them around the surface. Each disk corresponded to a cyber security area that was recognised by the table through a qr code. The user could interact with the table in multiple ways: pressing icons and buttons, placing multiple disks and rotating them. The transparent screen was displaying key information while the users where engaged, along with high scores and attractor videos when the table was idle.

The users could start the experience by placing the “start” disk on the table and making a couple of key selections depending on their role and business size. They had a limited amount of time to allocate resources for their business while an iconic cyber-attack was taking place, adding a sense of stress to the game. By placing down the rest of the disks and rotating them, they could allocate points in specific security areas. In the end they could see BAE Systems advice based on the selection they opted.

Designed all visuals, icons, UI elements and motion graphics (except the code scrolling animation) and contributed in UX design.

Low res captured screens from the beginning of gameplay. Selections are driven by the player.
