Alpha Toshineza is a versatile artist: francophone MC, graphic designer and founder of his own record label “Jazz Inuit”(www.jazzinuit.com). Between 2003 and 2013, he released different projects (2 albums, many EPs), collaborated with aclaimed artists and producers like Kev Brown and Oddisee, and performed across Europe (Germany, Belgium, France, Latvia, opening act for De La Soul). In 2014, Alpha finally moved to Canada (Winnipeg). After collaborating with several local artists he released his latest project "Jazz Inuit". for which he was nominated at the Western Canadian Music Awards for "Francophone Artist of the Year". His music (clearly influenced by 90s boombap), his unique poetry, and his stage presence make him an ambassador for Francophone hiphop in Manitoba.
