A digital color study for a 3D painting using unconventional materials like plywood, wood, dowels, plaster, and wire.
WATERSHED SERIES

These abstracts are background art for my print project on the environment. Each image is a visual evolution on multiple levels with each level transforming to reveal different contaminants appearing in the ground water. The interconnecting lines and dots appear as symbolic representations of the interconnections between the soil and the water.  As materials like rusting metal and dissolving chemicals are introduced the color shifts and the textures change.

JAPANESE GARDEN IN RED, BRONZE, AND BLUE
Evolution of an Abstract

This meditation is a recollection of a familiar Japanese garden that I have photographed for 15 years. What is interesting is how I end up in a very different place from where I started. This series experiments with leaving behind the representational.
