The challenge of this project was to come up with a creative idea that solves a current problem with the design or packaging of a lightbulb. I decided to go in a slightly different direction by not redesigning the lightbulb at all, but by expanding on the concept of an adaptable base that you connect to the current socket. This base will have the technology built in to do all of the things the new "smart bulbs" are doing, but you can still use the regular cheap bulbs we all know. no more buying specialty bulbs, we can "Cover all bases".
