FYI's Tiny House franchise was going global, and they were looking for a fun visual concept to promote it.  I pushed for a pop-up book direction with a warning that it would be very challenging from a technical standpoint.  That's never scared me off before, and this would prove to push my knowledge of Cinema 4D to it's limits.

The challenge with something like this is that all of the unfolding animation needs to be driven by the page turning, so it needs to be automated to some degree which is done with a heavy use of expressions that tie the animation of many objects to the rotation of each page.  Multiplying these technical challenges with art directing the piece meant that it took me about a month to execute the art and production of this single-handedly.

I ended up rendering three different cameras for this:  One wide shot, and two other cameras covering B-roll (closeups and details).  This way the editor could have some freedom cutting together the final piece from a variety of footage.  Below is the entire animation from the wide shot camera.
