It has really been some time since I sat down to draw something, and had something like this in mind for about a week. After a few hours, this is what turned out.

Yes, the canvas gets darker as I went along. At about the 1:51 mark was when I finally looked at some reference images for an octopus (to get the breathing holes in the right direction) when I learned that the tentacles tend to curl upwards, but only really fixed the one. Next time: check references before starting.
