Overview:
Created as a semester-long corporate identity project, Rocket Books was born of my lifelong obsession with books and the depressing statistics of functional illiteracy in US adults (1 in 7 adults in the US are considered functionally illiterate, that is, reading at or below a 4th Grade level). It combines a traditional bookstore and a 1-for-1 program with adult education classes and mentorship.

Who We Are:
Passionate bibliophiles. Passionate learners and educators.
We want to empower Nashville’s struggling communities by providing knowledge and tools to fuel minds and improve lives.

How We Work:
Rocket Books has a for–profit side, and a nonprofit side. The profit side (a brick–and–mortar store) helps support the non–profit adult literacy courses through a book–for–book program et cetera.
Corporate collateral explaining the mission and how Rocket Books operates, to patrons and potential partners.
The website, social media, and reading ad series are targeted primarily towards patrons of the bookstore.
The literacy-driven ads and Airstream are geared toward the demographic of people that would benefit from the resources Rocket Books has to offer.
