Empowering Persons with Disabilities to pursue employment & entrepreneurship opportunities equal to the task.
The Philippine Council of Cheshire Homes for the Disabled (PhilCOCHED) is an umbrella organization that advocates livelihood and employment support for Persons with Disabilities. Its member organizations offer programs for residential housing, livelihood activities, medical assistance, education and promote the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in general services available to the Philippine community.
Midori was commissioned to create PhilCOCHED’s online livelihood and resource hub, designed to raise awareness on employment and entrepreneurship support for Persons with Disabilities. The team’s brand and visual direction evokes equality and inclusive opportunity for Persons with Disabilities and its potential employers.
Opportunities Equal to the Task
Equals by PhilCOCHED, the online livelihood and resource hub, was named and designed to evoke equality by using a square margin to create the equal letters. The website icon is a combination of the letter S & the equals sign while strong shades of red and blue define its advocacy on equal opportunities for Persons with Disabilities in the Philippines.
Equals by PhilCOCHED considers two types of users on its website framework: Persons with Disabilities connect with employers for employment and promoted business opportunities while Employers learn about the inclusive benefits and environment of hiring the differently-abled.
The brand's art direction and photography emphasize ability in disability. Marked with an equals sign, Persons with Disabilities featured at Equals by PhilCOCHED represent stories of inclusive opportunities taken to become productive members of society.
