Heathrow T5 — Oak Seasons & Willow Boughs

ETCH

The first reinterpretation looked at the ability to take drawn volume into actual volumetrics. Creating 3D models of 2D pattern designs combined with Laser etching technologies we were able to create patterns that existed in more than 2 dimensions.

Treating the screens a tryptic, the screens illustrated the same structure of branches over tree seasons, creating a unique layered environment.

'Etch' is a series of laser etched sculptures depicting patterns derived from the English Oak. Glass, Metal and LED.
Installed in the British Airways First Club lounge at Terminal 5.
