Versus Versace SS2016

The Versace SS16 show was an exercise in developing a consistant lighting gesture in a complicated and compact space. With UVA, Davenport concepted and drew up various proposals in three dimentions, and used physical ligting simulation to get an accurate feeling of light in the space to win the project.

The gesture had to be flexible, accomodating an after party and show. The eventual solution was to create distinct areas of controllable colour spaces using descrete LED, and to cretate a trompe l'oeil effect for the main catwalk, using parrallel mirrors to create an infinite room effect in the second space. The sequencing and control was taken care of by d3.
