Application "Yokaïs Urbains"

June-October, 2016.
This is one part of my graduate project, "Yokaïs Urbains". In this project, I tried to give a new life for Yokais (some extraordinary creatures who exist in some Chinese or Japanese folk stories) and by that, to introduce Chinese culture in our modern life. It's an application which helps us to "find" Yokais  in daily life in Lyon and to study something about Yokai and Chinese culture.
There are two kinds of Yokais : daily Yokais and exceptional Yokais. The daily Yokais are those who "live" in Lyon and whom we can find everyday in some particular places. They are Mo, Mumei, Wushang and Juanli. Click here to know the stories about the former three Yokais. Juanli is a Yokai which is transformed by silks. There's a long history about silks in Lyon, we can find them in the Quartier de la Croix-Rousse, which is a "silk block" where we can see the Museum of silks, silk ateliers, etc.
When the user find a daily Yokai, he can click on the AR button and see the Yokai "in real life", when he click on the Yokai, two or three options display, including some knowledges or stories about this Yokai and Chinese culture, the user can even "communicate" with them. He can take pictures by pressing the "photo" button on an AR page. The photos are stored in the profile section, he can also share his photos on social medias.
The exceptional Yokais are those who issue with several Chinese events, they only show on those special days but in the whole city. When the user see an exceptional Yokai, on the AR page, he can read the informations about these events which are hold by Institut Franco-Chinois de Lyon. Click here to see the visual communication for the events.
Beside of the UI design, I also realised an introduction animation and some printed maps. Each map shows the possible places of a daily Yokai's appearance.
Thanks for watching. :)
