As part of the e-commerce digital products refactor, the native app for Android was refreshed in its GUI and revamped in it's information architecture and navigation.

GUI Refresh
The refresh of the app consisted in giving a more clean look & feel to the screens, focusing on the products and the search tasks done by the user.

Android Navigation Patterns
In order to follow the OS navigation patterns and the Android users behaviors, an analysis of the navigation done through the native back button and the one provided by the app was done; a deep understanding of the hierarchical and historical navigation was needed in order to provide a coherent experience.

Ui Kit and Guidelines
As part of the handoff process, a UI Kit with the foundations, states, and specs of the app components was provided to the front-end team. Through this documentation we made sure to have single source of truth and ease the building for the rest of the team.
