Identity, communication materials and merchandising of an international gymnastics festival
Client: Festival del Sole
Year: 2012
I was asked to revamp the look of this international gymnastics festival held in the town of Riccione, Italy for its 11th edition.

The main task was to work on a fitting typography to enhance the previously existing dancer brand.
The ballerina itself has been a bit updated. I decided to get rid of all the unessential details of the previous versions and concentrate on the colour as I put a more actual and modern fading instead of the old flat tone.

Keeping the whole project clean, essential and bright has been the main concept.
I worked with warm colours to better represent both place and time of the event, which is held in a very touristic town during summer. Plus, the name of the festival means nothing but "festival of the sun".
The highly notable warm circle that lives throughout all the communication materials aims to represent the whole concept with its simple but strong visual impact.

I also designed a map to better represent where all the arenas and the collateral touristic activities were, as the old one was highly confusing and dense of unnecessary informations and details.
Inspired by subway maps, my aim was to keep it simple, rational and clean, to let the viewer immediately understand where to go, but also a bit illustrative, for a pleasant and captivating look and feel.
