This is a packaging idea for the light Flatterby by Ingo Maurer. The task was to understand a successful designers work and process to create a product in terms of him. We (a team of three students) met Isagani Vengco at the Showroom in Munich to get an impression of Ingo Maurers work. Among other very interesting things he told us how complex the packages for the sensitive lights have to be. We decided to create a packaging which shows the beauty of the light while being robust but simple.

The box opens like a flower to let the Butterflys fly. Bye bye, Flatterby.
