Life will be very different in less than three decades from now. From driverless cars to robotic services, space travel to micro-technology, the future is going to be here before we realise it. We tried to imagine how these technologies will affect the UAE. This is a 2D animation inspired on the illustrations made by Luis Vazquez for the book "An Amazing Nation. An Illustrated story of the 45 years of UAE", Published by Gulf News in Dubai, UAE.
The video was published on December the 2nd, 2016, celebrating UAE's National Day.
Deconstruction and redrawing of the original illustrations was necessary in order to animate them.
Following a basic logic to design the animation for each object.
A long composition (14,645 x 2,925px) was made to position all the elements and small animations, just to panning the camera through the comp in order to jump from scene to scene (1920x1080px).
