The Duke is a character from ‘The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me’ by Roald Dahl. The Duke has been looking for a decent window cleaner for the last 50 years. His house has 677 windows and all of them are filthy!

This interpretation of the Duke was inspired by the British Astronomer Sir Patrick Moore. Brian Blessed was also considered. However, the fact that Patrick Moore is an astronomer inspired me to place an observatory on top of the Duke’s palace; to really put the Giraffes magical neck to the test!
