Jokes about prominent politicians are all the rage in today's social media sphere, especially as November's presidential election comes near. While we talk about politicians as personas, we devote less time discussing what policies are actually being proposed. Should we focus less on what politicians are saying on Twitter and more on what they're doing for our country?

On the other hand, jokes and funny stories are a huge part of how a lot of us—particularly young people—engage with politics. Experts say that while it is important for presidential candidates to propose smart policies, it is also important that they are able to rally the American people. While voter turnout in the younger population is declining, shouldn't we promote public engagement with politics in whatever way we can?

In this poster, I hoped to explore the complexity of public engagement with politics, and inspired people to give some thought as to how they engage with politics in their daily life, using different colors and typefaces to represent the multiplicity of perspectives on the topic.
