DESIGN 211: 3D FOUNDATIONS
Winter 2015
This project was an introduction to wood shop and mass production. In the span of three weeks, I was introduced to and the band, table, and chop saws to create these modules from medium density fiberboard. Creating an original design was not a requirement for this project, but I chose to design my own set of modules.
Each module is made from 1 inch thick MDF.
Several early sketches of my concept. As I made the modules, I realized that I liked the three-dimensional "W" structure that became my final design, but the essential shape of each individual piece is the same.
