Artis prepared a new concept related to the installation of recycling for Science Festival, held in December 2011 in Belgrade, Serbia. The festival is held in the former factory Kluz, downtown of Belgrade.
The installation is located in a central room of the floor. The central room has 6 entrances that lead to 6 passages where work is also exibited. The installation has a center point as a tornado of cans in the middle of the room, coming out of the garbage can. It also has four waves like currents coming out of the top of the tornado and towards the 4 doors of the room.
Four currents represent the energy that supplies our tornado. The concept of the installation is that science should be focused on re-utilization of resources with new achievements. The subject of recycling should not only be material things but our ideas and thoughts need to be in constant questioning as well.
