'If I were a book'
'If I were a book' contains thoughtful musings on the joys of reading; originally written in 2014 by José Jorge Letria and whimsically illustrated by his son André Letria.
For this project I drew inspiration from the illuminated books of Medieval times as well as the idea of combining text seamlessly with images in order to readily invoke a beautiful and simple visual interpretation of what it means to have a love for reading. I was also very much inspired by 'The Fox and The Star,' both written and illustrated by Coralie Bickford Smith.
