NURSERY MURAL SCRIBBLES
During a stint of being delightfully unemployed, I spent weeks on end working on a nursery mural for my favourite married couple ever and my soon-to-be niece or nephew.
Although they didn't have much of an idea of what they wanted, they both liked the idea of a neutral monochrome theme as they bravely chose to not find out the sex of their child.
I've been interested in pattern work from my art school days, as well as the idea of the beauty that is produced from the flaws of repetitive mark making.
I completed the whole mural with just three POSCA paint pens as well as a lot of time, a lot of coffee and a lot of encouragement from their two cats Caspian and Franklin.
I deliberately chose not to tally up my hours as I was and will forever be extremely grateful to these two beautiful people for even letting me scribble all over their walls in the first place.
