The Bible story of Jonah was always a favorite of mine growing up because I have always loved ocean life. Sharks are my favorite fish and I wanted to make a more personal and unique illustration of it. I find that Whale Sharks are quite enchanting, which was what I wanted to show and "enchanting" was the feel I was going for.
