8 films, a Christmas special, and various spin-off animated shows 'Star War' has a franchise net worth of over $30,000,000,000, and has harbored some of the biggest & loved characters by all generations for over 40 years. However many of the cast members people would never have even heard of. You may be familiar with the names 'C3PO', 'Boba Fett', 'Yoda' and some may even know slightly more obscure characters such as 'Admiral Ackbar', but how many have know the names Anthony Daniels, Jeremy Bulloch, Frank Oz or Tim Rose?. Within these portraits I aimed to peel back the mask and show the true form of some of these iconic actors.
Storm Trooper - Laurie Goode
Many Actors, extras and even other cast and crew have played Storm troopers over the years. The obvious choice had to be the Storm Trooper that banged his head in Star Wars: A New Hope. However there were two contenders Laurie Goode and Michael Leader . No one could remember who exactly it was 30 years ago as both recall hitting their heads on different occasions.
Admiral Ackbar - Tim Rose
A slightly overlooked character but Admiral Ackbar commands the assault on the death star in 'A New Hope' and even makes an appearance in the latest 'The Force Awakens' film, sadly not masked by Tim Rose.
Nien Numb - Richard Bonehil
An intriguing mask consisting of 2 oversized eyes and presumably folds of skin layering over the checks of this alien 'Sullustan' species.
Wicket (Ewok) - Warwick davis
A teddy bear like creature from the Forest Moon of Endor, Wicket makes his debut in 'Return of The Jedi'. Davis played an excellent part in help us build a connection with the Ewok's taking us through a roller coaster of emotion with the scenes following his appearance.
Yoda - Frank Oz
Before reverting to CGI, Yoda was a puppet under the magical puppeteer Frank Oz (who also performed characters for 'The Muppets' and 'Sesame Street'.
Chewbacca -Peter Mayhew
Arguable our favorite Wookie. In this piece i felt that eyes help to humanize a creature, so opted left them out. I wanted to show not only 'Chewy' but also the animistic appearance of Peter Mayhew as a reflection of Chewbacca.
Boba Fett - Jeremy Bulloch
son of 'Jango Fett' from the prequels Boba With his customized 'Mandalorian' armor, was one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. Boba Fett style was orginally going to be Darth Vader look.

C3PO - Anthony Daniels
The last of the characters in the unmasked series and also the first design. C3PO is a humanized robot character usually accompanied by his best friend R2D2. C3PO's costume was a full body piece and Daniels had to be fixed into it everyday for hours on end. Fun Fact: although C3PO and R2D2 were best friends in the Movies of the screen Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker (R2D2) couldnt stand each other.
