Formerly a barrel vaulted, stone, european style wine tasting room with built in wine refrigerators, this space was reimagined as a fully climate controlled bright and modern wine display and tasting room. Custom quarter sawn white oak millwork was recessed into the walls and surrounded by blackened steel frames and a custom nine foot slate slab counter takes center stage as a gathering space for the appreciation of the collection. UV shielded LED lighting highlights every bottle without affecting the wine inside. A decanting station with a champagne cooler and liquor storage behind hidden panels completes the functioning aspects of the room.
I was lead designer for this project while working at rowland + broughton architecture and interior design.
