Women in Governance - Panel Discussion at LAU, Beirut
April 28, 2015 - Within the framework of promoting women's active and efficient participation in decision-making positions both locally and nationally, the Ministry of Social Affairs in close collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Lebanon, Office of Italian Cooperation for Development, launched a project entitled "Promoting Women's Participation in Local Governance and Development", aiming to gain the support of all concerned stakeholders. In that respect, the Ministry of Social Affairs partnered with the Institute for Women's Studies in the Arab World at the Lebanese American University to host a one hour panel discussion around the subject of "Women in Governance".
