Happy Holidays! Hand-made Cards

Popshop Boise, Graphic Design 3 class, September–December 2016
My class in my Fall 2016 semester created our own pop-up shop where we designed our own branding and storefront as well as our own products. We created many print designs such as posters and cards, and this is one of the card designs that I made. I wanted to create holiday cards that were hand-made, so after drawing out a design I decided to screenprint and emboss these cards. Below is an in-situ shot of the card plus its packaging.
Below shows the screenprinting of the cards. I chose 100lb, linen-finished cardstock and printed about 60 cards individually.
After the ink dried, I then embossed each card with the "Happy Holidays!" text. I wrote the text myself and got a custom stamp made. To emboss, I used fast-drying yellow ink and pressed that onto the paper. Then I took embossing glitter powder and poured that over the wet ink. After letting it sit for a few seconds, I shook off the excess powder and used a heat gun to melt the powder together on the stamped area.
For packaging, I paired each card with a blue envelope and made packs of five cards. I put the cards in resealable clear bags and put a sticker on the back with my personal logo and the pricing.
