This year I had a chance to make a highly interesting commission. A big fan of Conan Doyle and a collector of illustrations for his oeuvres came across my old work based on "The Hound of the Baskerville", which was made in 2008 for on-line illustrators' fights.
Unfortunately it turned out that at the time I didn't care much about the quality and size of my illustrations, so I offered to redraw it in my current style and in better quality.
It was extremely fascinating to come back to a subject that was made up in the very beginning of my illustrator career. Moreover taking into account client's wishes I tried to redraw it as close to an original illustration as possible, although it was hard sometimes as I saw moments that I didn't liked anymore.
