University of Pittsburg Launches New MBA

A global sales operations director with experience in global sales operations management for several international firms, Diane Kaern has demonstrated expertise in driving business transformation. Diane Kaern attended the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), where she completed master’s degrees in business administration and education, and earned her bachelor of science with a cum laude distinction.

Pitt is a public research university and home to 16 undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools, according to U.S. News & World Report. Among these is the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration, which recently announced a new executive MBA program in health care.

The new program is to launch in 2017, according to PittBusiness Magazine. The health care MBA is intended to prepare physicians and other health care providers for leadership positions in the health care system.

The Katz Graduate School website provides additional detail. The 19-month, accelerated program will also target health care administrators and managers. It will help students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to face future challenges, including enhancing patient outcomes while decreasing health care costs.
