Georges Jobe Hawkstone Park Jump

Commissioned by Alan Bott to re-create in a painting photographer Nick Haskell's iconic photo of Kawasaki's Georges Jobe jumping over World Champion Andre Malherbe, Honda, at the 1984 Britsh 500cc grand Prix at Hawkstone Park, Shropshire.
Upon receiving the completed commission, Alan decided he wanted Georges to have the original as he is undergoing extensive treatment for Leukemia. We travelled across to his home in Retinne Belgium and Georges was overjoyed to receive such a fantastic gift, so much that he promised to take it to his hospital room in Brussels to show the doctors and nurses his famous jump.
Painted in acrylic paints on canvas, artist Rob Kinsey was then tasked to paint another original for Alan who is in the crowd that famous day. Every specatator was carefully painted as many fans can spot themselves in the crowd.
