This project describes the design process of the collaboration artwork we did together for Dr Phunk's Remix EP. The EP includes the Remixes of "Apollo", "Nothing Can Hold Us Down" & "Run Wild" and was published by Hardwell's label Revealed Recordings.
The original background was created by Erik Blommers for a different order from Revealed Recordings. The old version contained some really cool glass skulls but unfortunately, we had to remove them for this project.
After some light and color adjustments, the only missing part was the Revealed logo.
To fill out the empty middle, I scaled down the background and added the FilterForge-based refraction effect on the edges.
Finally, Hardwell and the label chose the magenta-blue color combination as it fit's best to the hardstyle genre. Below you can see the other five versions we've sent to them as well.
