The Herberge in Innsbruck is a refugees asylum of another kind. It is a place for coming together and offers the refugees a place for interaction. Numerous common rooms such living room, playroom, study room, fitessstudio und sewingroom support that. 

The coming together of the individuals at this place becomes the main idea of the design concept. The logo of the Herberge symbolizes the coming together of the people in this place. In the way finding and guidance system this statement is strengthen by the use of lighting and luminous colors. The light and the round shapes represent the bright heavenly bodies which give the human being orientation, life and hope, no matter from which part of the world.

The way finding and guidance system was realized with simple but effective materials. The yellow circles and the simple lightss form the characteristic design elements of the guidance system. Minimal typographic elements and a system of pictograms compliment the overall appearance.
