Matter
The “Innsbruck Festival of Early Music” have been taking place in Innsbruck since 1976. Their programme includes Renaissance Concerts, Baroque Concerts and Operas. The main theme for 2015 is called “Stylus Phantasticus“ – it is a synonym for the art of improvisation.
Basis
The fantastic, unexpected and “unhearable” opens up new areas of music. The towers of the old town of Innsbruck inspire the visual concept. Mountain ranges surrounding the city and musical waves play an essential role in the graphic design. The shapes work as stencils, which are included in different pictures and photographs.
Creative Concept
The design can and should be seen as improvisation and therefore leave room for interpretation. The brand mark description is positioned with confidence; the picture brand mark looks more like a label and less like a logo.
The mix of Antiqua and Grotesque fonts picks up the theme “Old music newly interpreted“
and completes the Corporate Design.
