Little Talk & The Strange Little Nonsense

Little Talk is a small coffeeshop in Bekasi strategically located near Insitu lake within Vida Bekasi. We originally came up the name Little Talk from the phrase ‘Small Talk’. Small talk is an informal, friendly conversation about unimportant subjects or simply put it as a conversation opener. The definition is then used as Little Talk’s aphorism “A Good Talk Begins over Coffee.” The coffeeshop also regularly host series of activities for local communities such as movie screening, urban farming, community gathering, et cetera. Little Talk’s brandmark is using a slab serif typography approach. Sophisticated yet fun, paired with coffee stain foreground, also to resembles a bubble speech on animated version. Little Talk is more than a mark or a logo, we also designed a series of illustrated character with a touch of quirky storyline that can trigger conversation between friends throughout all the printed goods. “ The Strange Little Nonsense” is the illustration series designed for Little Talk. Little nonsense could be everyone, it always pops randomly everywhere in the shop with its quirky gesture and strange expression.
