Scholastic rSkills Tests
Some of my work at Scholastic was with the interactive parts of the products, as the education department transitioned from print to digital. Above are some of the icons that I worked on for Scholastic's applications and below is the rSkills icon along with other digital parts of the product.
One part of the rSkills project was icons for the apps, screens captures for the descriptions to fit to size and promotional banner advertisements for Apples App store. Because the rSkills logo has its slogan imbedded into it, there was some discussion with Apple. We (and more I) had to explain to them about that being part of the logos visual identity and part of the overall brand, because it was outside the norm of the guidelines. After my explanation it passed and was ready in time for the launch of the product.
While this part isn't as glamorous, some of my work was on the design of template pages and specs for the tests to be produced by the programmers. Also, I made templates for many of the reports that the software generates, including the test answers shown here and other assets such as the splash screen and buttons.
These are some of my rSkills Test illustrations that are featured in the test. They are used to facilitate the information to the student, so they can best answer the questions to the test.
There are some of my infographics that were in the rSkills tests. I used photography and illustrated maps, to best display the information to the student.
