GEL Conference 2011
Our work was so well received in 2010, we were contacted this year to do it all over again. We ultimately decided to celebrate this years’ theme of “Breaking the Barrier” by juxtaposing real world, NY-inspired situations (the venue for the event is the NY Times Center) with T&F’s authentic “GEL treatment”.
Upon creating general story lines, we built an internal, working script that would become a roadmap of content for us to create. We spent a few days shooting all over NYC and Brooklyn, then built rough edits which would become our canvas to brainstorm even further. Under our resident helm, we built an additional small army of amazing illustrators who painstakingly drafted (and rotoscoped) thousands of frames….some even worked in 3D.
