The Observatorio Contra el Acoso Callejero (Observatory against street harassment) is a non-profit organization which has as its goal to make street harassment visible in Chile. Their biggest achievement was presenting the “Street respect” law proposal to our government.
Many chileans don’t see a need for this law, because they don’t realize how its absence affects us. To reach out to them, we gave them a statistic everyone can sympathize with: girls, on average, start suffering from sexual street harassment at 10 years old.
“It’s an uncomfortable truth, which you can change by supporting this law proposal.”
