Babies "R" Us Monkeys
I was tapped by Coho Creative to create some jungle characters for Babies "R" Us' own line of
diapers. Three variations of a monkey was requested as an exploratory.
For option 1, the client asked for something folksy and somewhat handcrafted, a lovable guy with naturalistic colors and texture.
For the second option, the client wanted something atypical—like an orangutan.
Orangutans are not particularly cute animals, but I was excited to take that challenge. Making things appealing is what I do.
For Option 3, the client asked for something simplified and more geometric.
I wanted to create a strong contrast to the first option, so I gave this guy a sporty purple coat and a triangular head.
