Bon Voyage: a beautifully tragic future

Bon Voyage
A collection of six prints.

"...And as you stare out into the abyss, knowing that there is no longer a "home" for your species, you will understand the meaning of global warming."

Have you ever wondered if we could destroy the Earth to the point that it'd be unsafe for us to exist in it? Many don't consider this a possibility, maybe because the process is slow. But we've been seeing these damages for decades– and they're only getting worse. Imagine a radioactive Earth, toxic to the human body but so beautiful to contemplate– Bon Voyage is a visual experience of life, or rather, death on this planet.

For a graphic design course, I was instructed to create a set of six related postcards/prints that could be sold. My goal with this set of prints is to turn a bleak concept into beautiful (and profitable) art. Commercial art can be fine art and vice versa. My job is creating content that embodies both. A sort of hybrid that balances "art in which the idea presented by the artist is considered more important than the finished product" and the aesthetic factor that makes it profitable.

Enjoy!
